Boys and Girls Clubs of East Tennessee

In every community, there are hundreds of boys and girls who are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets or who spend many hours at home with no adult supervision.  Today, more young people live in disadvantaged circumstances than ever before.  Young people, especially those at greatest risk, need responsible adult guidance.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the educational, vocational, and character development of boys and girls in a safe and caring environment.  Membership is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17 years.  
Since 1943, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley has provided opportunities to youth in Knoxville and in what has now grown into a five county service area in the Tennessee Valley.

Today, 5,800 at-risk boys and girls who have a variety of unmet needs are taking advantage of the programs, activities, and services provided by BGCTNV.  They benefit from trained, caring, professional staff and volunteers who help young people take control of their lives, envision productive futures, and reach their goals.
