Emerald Youth Foundation

Emerald Youth Foundation is a Christian, urban youth ministry that serves more than 1,200 urban young people each year. Its ministry is implemented through a network of 21 churches and faith-based organizations in 14 neighborhoods, as it raises up a large number of urban youth to love Jesus Christ and become effective leaders who help renew their communities.

Emerald Youth Foundation serves Knoxville’s urban youth—elementary age through young adult—with curriculum and programs that pour into their heads and hearts. At Emerald Youth Foundation we measure our success in not only anecdotal ways—we also look at concrete measurements: how a child does in school, graduation rates, attendance in church, and family interactions.

We focus on four strategic pillars of development for each child: faith, education, relationships, and health. Afterschool, nightly, and weekend programs are offered, and we track the outcomes of each activity with each child up to age 25.
