I Hate IT Shirt Giveaway

“I Hate IT.”

Say that to most people and you’ll probably be applauded. That’s been our experience, anyway. Whenever we wear these shirts, people laugh and ask where they can get one!

“I Hate IT” probably sounds a little odd coming from an IT company, right? Well, let us just be honest. IT can really stink, if it’s done the traditional way. That’s why we love the cloud. The cloud completely removes the annoyance of managing IT and makes business technology a breeze.

We made these shirts for Claris’ own employees, but it’s becoming obvious to us that other people can relate to us! So how about this: if you hate IT, you get a shirt. That simple.

All you have to do is tell us why YOU hate IT by leaving a comment on this blog. It could be a nightmare story of a traditional IT failure, or an example of how the cloud has made your life easier, or just a list of your unwanted technology burdens. That’s your call. Here are the instructions in brief

1. Leave a comment on this blog OR our Facebook post explaining why you hate IT.

2. Then, email jcantrell@clarisnetworks.com your shirt size.

3. To receive your shirt, come meet us at Bonefish Grill, Bearden Hill, on Thursday July 14^th between 4-5:30pm

4. OR stop by the Claris Networks office sometime within the next week. (Email jcantrell@clarisnetworks.com if you plan to do this.)

5. Sorry, we will not be able to mail any shirts, so please plan to stop by Bonefish or the Claris Networks office. We’d love to meet you!

	I hate IT. Typically, IT services are provided by a guy with a screwdriver and a can of compressed air. Not by excellent folks like those employed by Claris and TekLinks. (Okay...so send me a shirt.)

	I hate IT because they (1) never get anything done, (2) spend way too much money, (3) are arrogant, (4) are always asking to increase staff...like they are the "leaders" of the company, and (5) we are totally dependent upon them.

	I hate IT because you have to constantly tell everyone "have you restarted" when they say my computer is acting weird. I wish we could go to the cloud with desktops.

	As an IT worker myself, I hate IT because of the way users and management often see us as "overhead" and not contributing to the organization's growth. The work is great. :)

	I hate my local IT because they refuse to listen to me even when i know what I am talking about and what needs to be done that I just do not have the permissions to do. They seem to delight in ignoring people who are as intelligent and or skilled as they are on principal. Thus resulting in issues not getting resolved and a grand argument being required with escalated issues through management before they finally come around and say what needs to be done to fix an issue, which matches exactly what I told them in the first contact....
